VTG Art Deco General Electric Mirage Clock Black Silver Mirrored Glass 5F52

  

Exceptionally beautiful and hard to find General Electric clock model 5F52. Reportedly designed by John P. Rainbault, the Mirage was made from 1937-38.

According to my research, the back of the clear glass is covered alligator skin textured paper. Has reverse cut silver numbers with a central flower design. The hands are in need of some polishing.

The motor housing has an easel type stand and the cord is intact and free of breaks. Clock currently running keeping accurate time. Set screw works and turns fine allowing to set time however thumb turn wheel is missing from set screw.

Small scratch between 7 & 8 seen in photo some edge wear paint loss but still displays great and works.
