1936 it's a 49X716. Once this warms up it runs smoothly quietly and fast. I pack really well so it should be fine. Another issue seems to be the size of the inevitable package it could go in one package or two packages or three packages but it would have to have the wires disconnected so it could be taken apart so therefore it wouldn't work there's always something! Vintage General Electric Stand Floor Fan 30s 40s Art Deco Era?
Works at one speed only but is very effective at moving air.. It is very quiet the oscillating mechanism works, the fan can be tilted upward or downward. Previous owner attached a rather thick and long.. About 12 ft cord that was nice of them but it's a little bit thick. I put some black tape on the wires coming out of the motor they seemed a little old and somewhat frayed I put the black tape on and connected it to the thicker wire you can see that in the photos.
The motor in this fan might seem slow at first when they sit around they they sort of lose their umph or whatever and you have to be patient with them... Start them and then they usually slowly just warm up and run at the regular speed.
The size of the fan is 10... I believe it's made out of aluminum it's not magnetic and it doesn't look like brass on the edge.
The cage is 12 in in diameter. The base cross pieces are 14 inches long. The motor is marked u 80225.The GE logo medallion is 2 1/4 inches in diameter. There is a black mark on the edge of one of the fan blades maybe it's magic marker or an across from that towards the center there's another black spot the other two blades are clean. The paint job on this motor body shows wear.. The cage for the fan is in really nice condition not bent up or coming apart..
