Vintage GE Super Base AM/SSB General Electric 3-5875A 40 Channel CB

  
Just in on a truckload of tube radios, surprised to see it, pretty rare model... I plugged it in , powers up. I did notice the channels digits are a bit dim to me, readable for sure, but dim.

Looks better in the pictures than in person, is dim in person.. Cosmetically nice, clock and meters light.

I did not get sound, I think you might need a properly wired microphone. I tried static and volume , etc , but no sound/static. The buttons all seems to react if pushed , such as clock, etc.

The bottom case looks good, case and front good, rear good, use zoom, pretty nice for age. Little bit of dust under the plexi glass top trim. Few minor type scuffs and. Again alot of CB's you get that static noise, I did not with this one.

Not sure what else I can try, pretty basic.... I try to be spot on , but that's all I have for you....

The clock digits are a bit dim, but the channels digits are more dim. Both are readable for sure. Hard to find unit, I think I saw another about 8 years ago.
