GENERAL ELECTRIC K-82 GRANDFATHER CLOCK RADIO. EVERYBODY LOVES A GRANDFATHER CLOCK RADIO --- AND WHEN COMPANIES STATED ADDING RADIOS IN THE 1930'S, THE PUBLIC WENT WILD. HERE IS A VERY NICE GENERAL ELECTRIC MODEL K-82 WITH A UNIQUE TUNING SYSTEM. THERE MIGHT HAVE BEEN EASIER WAYS TO DO THIS --- BUT GENERAL ELECTRIC DECIDED THEY WOULD USE A 3 FOOT STEEL BAND AS A PULLY!
RUBE GOLDBERG WOULD HAVE LOVED IT. THIS IS AN UNTESTED RADIO THAT WILL NEED SOME WORK.... BUT IT APPEARS TO BE COMPLETE AND READY TO RESTORE. RADIO HAS ALL THE TUBES & KNOBS. THE SPEAKER IS PRESENT AND THE FRONT FACEPLATE AND STATION GRAPHIC ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.THE WOOD SHELL IS IN GOOD CONDITION WITH MODERATE WEAR FOR ITS AGE. THIS ITEM IS LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY.
OUR LOCATION IS A FEW MILES EAST OFF EXIT 57 ON THE PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE. WE ARE ON RT 22 WHICH COMES DIRECTLY OFF THE TURNPIKE --- VERY CLOSE TO PITTSBURGH.
