Rare vintage 1960 General Electric model EC-4 Wall Mount Mid century modern can opener in stunning condition inside its origInal box, with wall mounting plate, hardware and all paperwork! Unlike most you will see, the plastic case and power bar on this one is NOT warped or distorted! When GE introduced this model in 1959 they were made from an inferior plastic that quickly shrunk and warped and they are extremely hard to find in perfect condition. General Electric reformulated plastic housings sometime in 1960 to a material that was stable.

I was told this was old store stock from a family run appliance store back in the day. This is the first style General Electric made of this can opener.

Amazingly the white case is still it's original show white color! Appears to have never been used. I plugged it in and the motor runs. Has not been tested with can. It's such beautiful condition that it would be a shame to use it.
