Vintage General Electric model P4980A World Monitor Multi-band Short Wave Radio. GE World Monitor SW Shortwave Transistor Portable Radio General Electric P4980A. General Electric'World Monitor' Superheterodyne Portable Radio with working Dial Light (red button on top). It is in good working and cosmetic condition.

Runs on 6 -"D" batteries (not included). I do NOT have the power cord (120V AC) and earphone. Features : Tone, Squelch, & Volume Sliding Dials, and a Tuning/Fine Tuning Dial on the side, Earphone jack, AC jack, EXT SW ANT-GRD /ANT. Also a World Time Zone Map on the battery compartment door.

A little static with some of the controls and band buttons. Antenna is intact just missingthe Cover and STRAIGHT!! All band indicators on top operate well.. Tested, somes stations can be heard, maybe need some configuration or small internal work, i dont know how. PLEASE look at pictures carefully and you be the judge of the item's condition!! PLEASE ask any questions you may have.
