GENERAL ELECTRIC Wall Clock Red Eye WOOD FRAME 1H1312 School Industrial. Measures approximately 13.25 in diameter including frame. Clock face is 12 in diameter. Extremely RARE WOOD FRAME is bent wood and mortise and tenon joinery - has the quality of a fine piece of furniture.

It is very thick - 3-5/8" thick from the wall when hung, and 1" wide around perimeter of the clock face. Not sure what kind of wood it is.

Likely walnut, maple or cherry. Tested and checked for accuracy over an extended period of time and it works perfectly. Face has a little dust around edges under the glass attributed to age, use and storage. Wood has some tight and dry old cracks and seams here and there attributed to and typical of age. Nothing unexpected and nothing that detracts from function or beauty. A really extraordinary example of the early General Electric Wall Clocks made for school, office, factory, industrial and shop environments of the time period. Would make a wonderful addition to industrial modern design aesthetic decor.
