General Electric Trimline Stereo 300 Vintage Record Player, Tubes Nice. Please read the full description so you know exactly what you are getting. Beautiful GE suitcase style record player that was so popular in the 1960's.
All very clean and glow nicely. Right off the bat, the record changer bogs down. If you have ever had an idler wheel changer you know what I mean.
I have cleaned and lubricated the underneath mechanism and platter bearings lubricated after cleaning, but still bogs down. It will cycle if you help it with your hand, but not on its own. Because of this I have been playing one record at a time and it works great. Initially, it had a loud hum as soon as it was turned on.
I changed out the filter cap and sounds great now. Very clean inside and out. All 3 knobs(volume, balance, tone) cleaned and lubricated so they work nice and smooth. Speakers can be swiveled out or detached.
Nice even sound out of both sides. Flip needle for LP's and 78 in good shape. The 45 adapter is missing. All cords in great shape. Speaker grills, cabinet, handle, etc. All look great with only occasional minor scratches, scuffs. The idler wheel makes a little noise turning against the inside of the platter when playing but most do. The rubber mat has a silver metal piece that has a bend in it and causes records to go up and down in that spot, but not affecting play any. From a smoke free home.
