General Electric Monitor Top Refrigerator Electric Clock Telechron 1930 1931

  
Clock depicts 1928 Monitor Top Refrigerator with open coils and thumb-control temperature selector on the control. Usually these clocks are missing all or most of their paint due to an impurity in the original casting metal, this one is in remarkable condition with most of its paint thus this may not be original paint but very old repaint (not sure): under black light paint is uniform not showing any differences in paint surface. Some discoloration around hinges (see photos) maybe rust from hinges. Clock tested working correctly and accurately, it may have been serviced before I bought it due to the modern electric cord: original cord was silk covered.

Electric cord plugs into base of clock or it can be detached for display. General Electric logo is missing, it would have been mounted in 2 tiny holes just above doors.

Please note: these clocks were only painted white, no other color was applied. A good advertising clock for America's 1st residential electric refrigerator by General Electric.
