Vtg. Mcm General Electric brown plastic Danish Modern starburst clock

  

The sale is for a vtg mcm General Electric brown plastic framed Danish modern starburst clock with original mechanism from Western Germany. The star is brown plastic and framed around the face. The brown shades vary because the plastic has a darker brown antique white finish, more in the crevices or recessed areas.

Good condition with age related issues. Dust and dirt in crevice areas and wear in the brown in the starburst in places. The hanging hook is metal but tarnished and aged nicks showing a cream plastic. Top star on edges, bottom tip edges, sides and backside in the brown on backside ridge and indiscriminate places due to age. Takes a C battery, not included.

Chalkiness in backside cavity, metal hanging to hang the clock is attached to workings of clock. The clock has a start and stop level so must hit start to make clock run. Has raised numbers in cavity on battery compartment and the metal piece to hang is tarnished/aged. The face is cream colored with brown diamonds for numbers except 12, 3, 6, 9.

Some wear in diamonds and numbers in the brown. Could be other white spot wear but mentioned most significant. Clock face has dirt, shiny spots, may clean.

General Electric name in middle lower part. A switch in back to turn the hands. Could be flaws in molded plastic.
