This is a cool and somewhat RARE 1971-72 Vintage and CLEAN General Electric P4990A World Monitor radio. It has a map on the back with a world time zone dial has a lot of buttons, bells and whistles on the front.
Also, something unique some settings for radio presets, Ive never seen that on a 1970s radio! Tuning strength meter + dial light is functional & it has 2 antennae one for FM and the other for the SW bands. It also has a nice strong pop-up handle to carry it. It really is in impressive condition of its age. Theres some light wear, pitting marks in the aluminum trim and a tiny dent that can be seen in the front grille, but otherwise really is in very nice condition.
Battery compartment is perfect and has the battery tubes still with it. Also present is the original AC power cord.Turns on and functions very nicely.
