Vintage GE General Electric E-50 1937 Restored & Working as Bluetooth Tube Radio

  

Beautiful GE tube radio, model E-50, fully restored. Radio will receive audio from any device capable of sending a Bluetooth signal smartphone, iPad, tablet, laptop, etc. Radio has been fully restored as described below. All film and electrolytic capacitors replaced with components of equal value. Resistors and mica capacitors replaced where necessary.

Both audio tubes (6F6 and 6C5) replaced with new-old-stock GE tubes. Volume/power control replaced with 5k audio potentiometer. Power cord replaced with polarized plug.

1 amp 250v fuse added to circuit. 01uF mica capacitor across power line replaced with.

Tube Complement: 5W4, 6C5, 6F6, 6A8, 6K7. Speaker: 6 1/2 field coil.
