RARE Vintage 1940s General Electric 6 Ft Vortalex Floor Oscillating Fan FM12M11

  
This listing is for a rare vintage Art Deco styled General Electric GE Vortalex Floor Pedestal Oscilating Fan that was manufactured between 1946 and 1948 (Model #FM12M1). This rare fan is in excellent condition for its age Fan is in excellent condition for its age and shows signs of wear. It is fully functional at all 3 speeds and the oscillator function works great. The fan blows a lot of air and runs smoothly. Please see photos for close up detail.

The fan base is a cast iron Art Deco style with 6 claw feet and the curved edge kicks on the fan blades contribute to the overall Art Deco design. The fan height is adjustable from 48" (4 Feet) to 72" (6 Feet). The fan's cage measures approximately 14 1/2" wide and the fan is about 12" wide. Fan base measures 16 wide. Fan weighs approximately 38 pounds.

This is a very rare vintage fan that works great, looks awesome and moves a large amount of air very fast. Fan could use some cleaning, oiling and basic maintenance but everything is fully functional as is. This fan makes an excellent addition to any collection.
