General Electric of Bridgeport, Connecticut made this sought after model L 622 catalin'Jewel Box' or'Treasure Chest' vintage vacuum tube radio in a beautiful translucent marbleized reddish tortoise catalin bakelite. In truly unique fashion, this radio is designed to look like a Jewelry Box. General Electric made two models in the catalin genre, this L622 far more rare and desirable than their #L-570 model.

The Catalin has a deep shine and gleams, rich marbleized rust tortoise hues, and very strong translucency. The radio looks nice and clean. There is a modified antenna jack on the back of the radio.
